Something that stood out from the last class was the Website Grader that Jim Teece showed us. I think that this is a useful tool for all individuals and businesses trying to establish an online presence. I did try this on my WordPress website and only got an “Ok”. I am pretty proud that I got 30/30 on my Mobile score since I specifically selected a theme that was compatible with mobile. I am not sure how I can improve my security score. I was disappointed that it was a 0/10.
This site is helpful when giving advice on how to improve your overall score as well. I didn’t think it would give you as much insight as it does. I will use this in the future. I also think that this would be an excellent tool to share with the local non-profits on Friday. Many non-profits have an issue producing a quality website and may not see all the things that can be improved upon. With this tool not only will they receive a score, but they will get advice on how to increase their score. This would be valuable information. I think I will try to recommend this to the Website_Content channel for the Friday presentation.
