Online Reputation Management

Online reputation management is key for an individual’s or an organization’s reputation. Online reputation management (ORM) “ is the practice of attempting to shape public perception of a person or organization by influencing online information about that entity”. I did find an excellent article that stated the top ten things you should know about ORM called, “10 Pro Online Reputation Management Tips For Local Businesses.”

My favorite part of this article was the section “You can’t opt out of ORM”. There were some great points about how the only person who can destroy your online reputation beyond repair is YOU!

“No one can damage you as seriously as you can damage yourself if you don’t know what you’re doing.”
